VEGAN Sloppy Joes

Okay, so this might sound like the most obvious recipe ever, right? Well, it wasn’t for me. Making sloppy joes was super easy and convenient when I ate meat, but I hadn’t even thought about it since being vegan. Sunday night, I was planning out our weekly dinners so I could order the ingredients on my Walmart Grocery app – FYI, if you’ve never used Walmart Grocery Pickup, you’re doing life wrong. I hate that godawful place (or more like the idiots that run around in it) so Walmart grocery pickup basically saved my sanity. Anyway –  I was thinking of quick & easy meals when sloppy joes came to mind. I realized that I DIDN’T ACTUALLY NEED TO USE MEAT because GARDEIN, so I could totally eat them! Guess what else? MANWICH SAUCE IS VEGAN! Literally smiling while typing because I had sloppy joes two nights in a row and they were glorious. I’m noticing that Walmart is coming out with more vegan options in their stores, too, which is amazing for meat-free families!

For this recipe, you’ll need:
– 1 pkg of Gardein Meatless Ground (I used “The Ultimate Beefless Ground”)
– 2 cans of Manwich sauce
– Buns of choice
– Pickles (I LOVE pickles on my sloppy joes)

You can mix your Gardein Meatless Ground with your Manwich sauce however you please, but I like to empty one can of sauce into a skillet, then add the package of frozen meatless ground, stir, and let simmer for a few minutes before adding the other can of sauce.

Once your “meat” sauce is bubbling and hot, turn the burner on low and spoon the mixture onto the buns. Add pickles, onions, or whatever else & ENJOY!

Super easy, super cheap, super vegan 🙂
